A lot of business owners don't think about their entrance railings until something goes wrong - a customer slips, someone complains, or a code inspector shows up. By that point, the fix feels urgent and stressful. We'd rather get ahead of that for you.
This was a fresh railing setup for a commercial storefront - three concrete steps leading up to the front door, both sides wide open with no support for customers coming and going. That's a liability waiting to happen. We came in and built out a full steel railing system on both sides of the staircase, with solid base plates anchored directly into the concrete.
The steel pickets are clean and evenly spaced, and the top rail has a nice curve at the end cap that gives the whole thing a finished, intentional look. It's not just functional - it actually looks good against the brick facade. Black powder coat keeps it sharp and protected from the elements without needing much maintenance down the road.
From a compliance standpoint, commercial entrances like this one need to meet specific code requirements for handrail height, spacing, and graspability. We build our commercial railings with that in mind from the start - not as an afterthought. Whether it's ADA compliant railings or a general safety upgrade, getting the details right matters.
Good railings at a business entrance send a message. It tells your customers and your staff that you've thought about their safety. It's a small thing that makes a real difference every single day.
