Front entries take a beating. People are going up and down those steps every single day - carrying groceries, managing kids, navigating icy patches in the winter. When there's nothing solid to grab onto, that's a problem waiting to happen. This homeowner knew it was time to fix that.
We came in and installed new black metal railings along the front staircase - both sides - plus a separate freestanding section near the lower patio steps. Everything is anchored solid, with vertical balusters running clean and consistent top to bottom. The look ties together nicely against the white exterior.
That lower section near the patio is worth pointing out. It's a small landing with just a step or two, easy to overlook. But those are exactly the spots where people lose their footing. We made sure it got the same attention as the main staircase - a sturdy post, matching baluster style, and a level top rail you can actually grip.
This is what residential railing work should look like. Not just functional, but fitted to the property. Black powder-coated metal holds up well outdoors and pairs cleanly with just about any home exterior. No rust, no rot, no wobble down the road.
A front entry upgrade like this doesn't take long, but the difference it makes - in safety and in curb appeal - is immediate. If your steps are missing a railing or the one you have has seen better days, this is the kind of work we do every day.
