Most railings are an afterthought. They get bolted on, they do the bare minimum, and they never really feel like they belong. This one was built differently.
The curve at the bottom post is the detail that makes this whole thing work. It follows the natural path someone takes when they approach the steps - not a sharp corner, not a generic straight drop. A smooth, intentional curve that ties the railing into the entry without fighting it. That kind of fit doesn't happen by accident.
We fabricated this railing with decorative scroll balusters and ball-top finials. The scrollwork breaks up what could've been a plain vertical run and adds a layer of character that matches the stonework on the steps. Everything is welded solid - no wobble, no flex. Just a railing that feels as good as it looks.
This is what we mean when we say custom railings. It's not just picking a style from a catalog. It's understanding the space, the architecture, and how the homeowner actually uses the entry - then building something that fits all three.
Residential railings like this one are a combination of safety and craftsmanship. When both are done right, the entry to your home looks intentional from the street and feels secure under your hand every single day.
