This is a stair railing job we completed in Park Ridge, NJ - and it's a good example of how the right metalwork can pull a property's exterior together without overcomplicating things. The brick facade and natural stone steps already had strong character. What was missing was a railing system that could match that without looking like an afterthought.
We fabricated and installed a custom steel hand railing with clean vertical balusters and a smooth, continuous top rail with curved returns at the base. The matte black powder coat finish ties into the dark trim on the building and gives the whole entrance a more polished, intentional look. Nothing flashy - just solid craftsmanship that fits the space.
Beyond the aesthetics, this kind of residential railing installation is also doing real safety work. A wide staircase with no railing is a liability, especially for older residents or visitors. The design we landed on here gives you a firm, graspable handrail that runs the full length of the staircase - functional from the first step to the last.
We handle everything in-house - from the initial fabrication to the on-site installation and finishing. Whether it's a single-family home, a multi-unit property like this one, or a commercial building that needs ADA compliant railings, we build everything to hold up and look good doing it. Steel railings done right don't just last - they add value to the property they're on.
