This Alpine, NJ home needed railings that could hold their own against the architecture. Big arched windows, white brick, stone retaining walls - the front of this house already had a lot going on. Generic railings would have looked completely out of place.

What we put in were custom decorative railings with a matching stair rail running down to the driveway. The decorative top panel detail ties the whole system together, so the porch railing and the stair section feel like one cohesive design rather than two separate pieces bolted onto a house.

That matching detail matters more than most people realize. When a stair rail and a porch railing are clearly from the same family - same profile, same finish, same decorative elements - it signals intentionality. It looks like it was always supposed to be there. That's the difference between a railing that adds value and one that just meets code.

The black powder coat finish works perfectly against the light brick. It's a sharp contrast that frames the entrance without competing with anything else on the facade. And from a durability standpoint, powder coat holds up far better than painted finishes, especially on exterior metalwork exposed to New Jersey weather year-round.

This is exactly the kind of residential railing work we take pride in. Custom doesn't have to mean complicated - it just means built specifically for the home in front of us.
