This one is a great example of what custom aluminum railing work looks like when it's done right. We were working with a rooftop deck space in Park Ridge - an elevated area that needed a solid, safe perimeter without looking bulky or out of place against the home's exterior.
Aluminum is our go-to material for situations like this, and for good reason. It doesn't rust, it holds its finish for years, and it's genuinely strong. You're not trading looks for durability here - you get both. The clean white finish ties into the building's gray siding without competing with it, and the uniform spacing on the balusters gives it that sharp, intentional look that wood just can't match over time.
We also built in a gate on this one. That's a detail that matters a lot on rooftop and elevated deck setups - you want controlled access, especially if there are kids around or the space connects to a service area. The hinges are heavy-duty, the latch is secure, and it swings cleanly.
Every panel was mounted flush and level along the deck perimeter, anchored properly into the framing below. No shortcuts on the fasteners, no gaps in the posts. When we do balcony railing installation, it has to be right - not just for looks, but because this is a safety structure at height.
If your outdoor space needs a railing upgrade or you're starting from scratch on a new deck or balcony, this is exactly the kind of work we do every day. Clean lines, durable materials, built to hold up for the long haul.
